| Leo in my EAA Chapter is interested in the World War I stuff and gave this fascinating presentation on wing ribs. What made it special was that he had built actual ribs of various planes. You could really see the difference. | ||||||

Leo is holding the massive Fokker D7 spar in his left hand. In his right hand is the relatively miniscule Fokker DR-1 Triplane spar I am so familiar with.
The long thing rib to the right is what the Wright Brothers used in their 1903 Wright Flyer.
